Check-in Instructions for the Queen Room (Room 202)

We are at 107 W School House Ln, Philadelphia, PA 19144, and it's a yellow front house immediately after the Maplewood Nursing Home. Free street parking is available on School House Ln across from the house. When you arrive, walk up the small set of stairs or driveway to the side porch (visible from the street) and enter the house at that door. You'll know you're at the right door when you see our mailbox with gold "107" numbers to the right of the door and "The James Matthews House" sign on the left. Open the screen door to access the keypad on the main door.

Enter your door code (sent separately) on the keypad to unlock the door. Please make sure to press the padlock icon on the keypad to lock the door whenever you leave the house. Please note that the door is set to auto-lock after a few minutes - especially something to be aware of if you are walking outside for any reason.

You're in room 202 with a queen bed, and this is how you can find it once you enter the door into the dining room:

From the dining room, take the first doorway on the right (it's open while the other possible door is shut), walk through the living room to the stairs. Go up the stairs, turn left and up the small set of stairs to the left, walk to the end of the hallway and 202 is on the right and marked with a sign. The room key will be in the door. Clean towels have been left out in the room. If you require more towels, they can be found in a basket down the hall, outside your bathroom. The full bathroom available for your exclusive use is on the other side of the hall, near the stairs to the 3rd floor (our private area).

The dining room, where you enter the house, is where we have grab-and-go breakfast. There is a microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee station, tea (including an electric kettle for hot water), and a variety of items like breakfast bars, instant oatmeal, and snacks that aren't just breakfast. The mini-fridge in the dining room is stocked with drinks and usually a few other items for guests. Sometimes guests will store personal items in here, but everything we provide for guests is individually packaged, so we haven't had issues with guests storing items in the fridges.
